The successful candidate will support the department’s research projects related to community development and access to credit. Responsibilities include literature review, descriptive statistical analysis, and writing/editing draft reports. The successful candidate will also need to provide additional research support to other research projects.

Description
This position will support the department’s research and outreach responsibilities. Projects may include:
· Producing a report examining trends in home improvement lending to low-and moderate income borrowers in the Third District cities.
· Producing written deliverable(s) on topic(s) related to consumer credit access and utilization, including student loan debt, debt collections, and credit quality.
· Updating the Community Profiles webpages.
· Support building/enhancing the department’s contact database as well as event planning for roundtables and conferences.
Qualifications for both internship positions
· Candidate must be a graduate student in public policy, urban planning, economics, sociology, or a related discipline.
· Familiarity with statistical analysis using a common software package (e.g. SAS, SPSS, STATA, R) required.
· Ability to write clearly and effectively communicate with lay audiences required.
· Demonstrated interest/background in community and economic development strongly preferred.
· Familiarity with ArcMap preferred.
