Shaping a Healthier Generation
A new report by the National Governors Association Center for Best Practices, “Shaping a Healthier Generation: Successful State Strategies to Prevent Childhood Obesity,” looks at actions states are taking to encourage children to eat healthier and be more active in order to prevent obesity and other diet-related diseases. The report concludes with policy recommendations including increased coordination between state agencies and collecting data on children’s health to make well-informed policy decisions.
