Successful K-16 Transitions for Pennsylvania Youth Conference

The Successful K-16 Transitions for Pennsylvania Youth conference offers you the tools you need to help create a better alignment between high school and university expectations, as well as better connections between schools and successful entrance into the world of work. The conference is built on the work of the Association of American Universities, the American Diploma Project, and the Pew Charitable Trusts report from Standards for Success called Understanding University Success.

Don’t miss this conference filled with a dynamic mix of outstanding speakers, the latest research, interactive learning experiences, new partners, new projects, and new policies.

Keynote Address by Michael Cohen of Achieve. Achieve, Inc., is an independent, bipartisan, nonprofit organization created by the nation’s governors and corporate leaders to help states raise academic standards, improve assessments, and strengthen accountability to prepare all young people for postsecondary education, work, and citizenship.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Attendance as a team is encouraged. This conference is designed for district office-building-level school administrators, college and university personnel, policy makers, and others committed to building more successful K-16 transitions for Pennsylvania youth. A team might consist of a high school principal, superintendent and/or another central office administrator, and a partner external to the district from an intermediate unit and/or higher education.
