Substitute positions are available for Support Specialists to work with adults with cognitive disabilities in our Community Participation and Supported Employment programs. We are seeking only compassionate applicants who want to make a difference in the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.The position entails working in the community at different volunteer and employment sites. Support Specialists assist with training, support, and supervision of participants in community based programs and employment settings. Programs run from Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm; some Saturdays may be required; hourly rate is $10.88. Sites vary from day to day. Position requires a high school diploma and experience or study in the Human Services field. This is a great opportunity for students seeking a degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Special Education. Daytime availibilty required; we will work with flexible schedules; great opportunity for those currently employed part time.
Other Information About This Job: Applicants must be computer knowledgeable and able to input and maintain all relevant documentation on a web based system. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, own car, and acceptable driving record. Clean criminal background a MUST.
