Posted by on March 25, 2005
The Substance Abuse Prevention Curriculum Guide, developed by NOVA Research Company of Bethesda, Maryland, helps educators build a curriculum (for young people in kindergarten through 12th grade) by choosing from more than 1,000 prevention activities and resources available on the Internet. All that is required is a computer and a Web connection. Prospective users can visit
http://www.preventioncurriculum.com/ to browse the Resource Library.
Yearly subscriptions are available for $29.95 per year. The Guide incorporates NIDA’s research-based prevention principles and can also be mapped to the Department of Education’s National Standards of Learning for Health Education.
