The Strategic Prevention Framework “uses a public-health approach built on a community-based risk and protective framework for prevention.” Objectives include preventing addiction, reducing addiction-related problems in communities, and building prevention capacity and infrastructure at the state and community levels. Only states, territories, the District of Columbia, and federally recognized Native American tribes may apply.
