Student volunteers needed for college access project

A PHENND K-16 Partnerships Network Event
March 10, 2012, 11:00AM-2:00PM
Calling all current college students:
Whereas local colleges and universities are seeing record numbers of Philadelphia applicants, the proportion of our students that actually matriculate and graduate is far less.
The PHENND College Access Committee needs your help to be part of a team of college students that will mentor graduating high school seniors in essential skills such as time management, how to reach out for academic support and how to get involved in clubs and activities on campus. These teams will form a planning committee in anticipation for welcome receptions in April and May and July.
You will be working with high school students who need it the most, especially those who have not yet received support from their school or other programs. Represent your campus and encourage newly admitted students to make this life-changing decision!
