Job title: Student Editor- Philadelphia Local Guide
Job Description: Believe in Students, in collaboration with Edquity, is looking to hire a paid student editor to help us develop a resource guide that will support students in the Philadelphia area facing basic needs challenges as a result of the COVID-19 crisis. Edquity has already launched a national COVID College Support Guide that is accessible to students across the students, which can be found at covidcollegesupport.com.
Editors will receive a template to fill in with current, vetted resources that they are able to identify through independent research and networking within their communities. The following are some of the required sections we have outlined that Editors will fill in with resources and tips for students: Food, Housing, Income, Healthcare, Mental Health, Online Learning resources, Storage, Transportation, Legal, etc
The Hope Center and Edquity are specifically looking for college students or a recent college graduate residing in Philadelphia who will contribute to the Philadelphia local guides, to be launched by the end of August 2020. This role will require roughly 16-20 hours of work total, including a first draft and a final round of edits.
