Student Design Fellows Report, Campus Compact

Posted by Campus Compact on August 5, 2025

Strategic plans for student civic leadership are often written for students or about them. Rarely are strategic visions created by paid student leaders and designed with them leading every step of the way. Campus Compact aims to change that model.

Campus Compact and our partner, Lumina Foundation, are proud and excited to share a new, free resource that models a new vision for student civic leadership, with student voices at the center.

The Student Design Fellows Report is an in-depth summary of the extensive research of Campus Compact’s Student Design Fellows. It offers guidance for institutions that would like to implement student engagement strategies developed by students themselves. Strategies created through a review of existing best practices, conference presentations, literature, survey data, and focus groups — as well as interviews with students and experts nationwide.

Share the report with colleagues who have the same desire to enhance student civic leadership at your institution.
