For Nonprofits in Chester and those Serving Chester, PA

Coming September 24 – 1/2 Day Forum

Stronger Nonprofits for a Stronger Chester

The nonprofit organizations that serve the people of Chester City have a tough job – poverty rates three times the rest of the state, double digit unemployment and the host of issues that go with statistics like these.

In support of these organizations, The Nonprofit Center at La Salle University’s School of Business and the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofits, are jointly presenting a 1/2 day program, “Stronger Nonprofits for a Stronger Chester,” to build skills that are of particular value to struggling organizations whose services are in such high demand.

Registration Opens August 1st

On Tuesday, September 24, from 9 am to 12:15 pm, staff and board members of nonprofits located in the City of Chester, as well as all others who provide services to people within Chester, are invited to a forum of experts who will discuss volunteer management, partnership building, fundraising and effective governance.

Thanks to the support of The HBE Foundation and its trustee Bruce M. Brown, attendees pay just a $10 administrative fee and multiple people from the same organization are welcome.

The program will be held at the University Center,  Widener University in Chester. Registration and continental breakfast begin at 8:30 am and registration is mandatory.

Online registration opens August 1 on The Nonprofit Center’s website.
