Strengthen Your Organization by Connecting With Community Assets
When not for profits and faith based organizations engage in a range of community resources, they are more effective than those that involve only the staff of their lead organization. They are more powerful community actors when they become effectively connected to the citizens, resources and other
assets of the local community and less exclusively focused on needs, problems, and deficiencies.
This workshop will help:
– Strengthen an organization by enhancing connections with the community’s assets: citizens, associations and institutions.
– Strengthen the community by investing in the community’s assets.
– Strengthen current and future community based projects, activities and proposals.
You will learn:
– How to assess, identify and strengthen your relationships through mobilization of community residents,
organizations and resources.
– How to identify and connect your organization’s assets to community mobilization efforts.
– How to mobilize, involve, and engage local assets and partners.
