Summary of Principle Duties:
Provides support to the Executive Director on strategic initiatives, advocacy initiatives, board support, general administrative needs, and other projects as assigned. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to assisting with strategic initiatives and advocacy projects which include the implementation of our organizational strategic plan, supporting the agency’s legislative advocacy efforts, maintaining and enhancing relationships with key constituents, and maintaining relationships with community collaborative partners; and providing administrative support to the Executive Director including Board Liaison responsibilities. All responsibilities are implemented according to our mission and values and according to Agency standards.
Qualifications:
• Associate Degree required; a Bachelor’s Degree a plus.
• A minimum of two years of administrative experience is required.
• Some public policy or systems change advocacy experience required.
• Demonstrated proficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc..
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
• Demonstrated ability to organize time and detail, including keeping of records.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member is required.
• Demonstrated commitment to service of others is required.
• Will be required to attend 40 hours of Domestic Violence Training, post hire.
• Employment offer and continued employment are contingent upon satisfactory pre-employment physical, child abuse, criminal and FBI clearances required (all related fees will be paid by WAA).
Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week (specific schedule TBD)
