Smith seeks story time leader
Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse is seeking volunteer Children’s Story Time Leaders to select and read stories to children 5 years old and younger.
Key responsibilities include reading stories appropriate for children 5 years old and under and selecting books to read from the Smith library collection, home, or a local library. Volunteers are needed one Wednesday per month, 10-11am.
The reader must be comfortable with young children and enjoy reading out loud, and be comfortable with people of various ages and diverse backgrounds.
Child abuse clearance and criminal background checks are required and must be provided by the volunteer.
