StorySlam: “Volunteering in the Community”
Thousands of corporate volunteers LIVE UNITED to change lives and strengthen communities, 365 days a year! Join us for food, drinks and an evening of storytelling as we celebrate your volunteerism and kick-off National Volunteer Week with StorySlam: “Volunteering in the Community!” We all have a story to tell, from packing emergency food boxes to raising awareness about the importance of early grade reading. Your story makes a difference and we want you to share it.
What’s a StorySlam? First Person Arts presents Philly’s first StorySlam, an invitation to share five minutes of your life and connect with people who appreciate a well-told tale. Prepare your stories in advance, sign up at the door or step up to the mic in the moment to share stories on the theme of the night: Impact.
