STEM Education Webinar for College Students on Inquiry Science – Nov 19
Posted by Philadelphia Regional Institute of STEM Educators (PRISE) on November 11, 2025
During this 60-minute introduction to inquiry, students will explore the foundations of inquiry-based learning, comparing it to traditional direct instruction. They will engage in hands-on activities and discussions that highlight the value of curiosity, student agency, and collaborative exploration. The session introduces four types of inquiry—structured, controlled, guided, and free—and provides strategies for scaffolding student independence. Students will leave with a deeper understanding of how to foster inquiry mindsets in classrooms.
Date and Time: November 19, 7:00-8:15 PM
