The Jr. STEM Academy at Community College of Philadelphia is seeking a STEM Academic Mentor for our 202223 After School Artificial Intelligence and Robotics program. Programming will consist of scientific inquiry, robotics and artificial intelligence and project based learning. Activities will include 3D Printing, First Lego League, Microbits and use of various robotic equipment. The Academic Mentor will facilitate AI and robotics modules with these and other equipment and supplies.

The program is for Philadelphia middle school students. The program will be located at our Career and Advanced Technology Center located at 48th and Chestnut Streets. The Afterschool program will run 4 days a week MondayThursday from 46 p.m. October 10, 2022 through April 28, 2023.

The period of employment will be from October 3, 2022 through May 5, 2023. The position pays $25.00 dollars an hour, for a total of 306 hours over 26 weeks. The STEM Academic Mentor hours are from 3:306:30 p.m. during after school programming.

All applicants must have K8 STEM and/or Science experience, robotics experience preferred. Recent college graduates and current college junior or seniors studying Education, Math or STEM related fields are strongly encouraged to apply.
