2010 Hunger & Homelessness Survey from the US Conference of Mayors
The US Conference of Mayors released its annual status report on hunger and homelessness in 27 major US cities, offering compelling insights on the scale of food insecurity across the country. The report confirms that demand for food assistance has been on the rise – requests for emergency food assistance increased by an average of 24 percent in the past year – and that declining resources continue to pose challenges to cities’ efforts to fight hunger.
