State Parent Advisory Council Conference
Posted by Pennsylvania Department of Education on May 9, 2016
2016 SPAC conference (http://www.spac.k12.pa.us/conferences.htm): SPAC stands for the State Parent Advisory Council, which brings together parents from across PA to advise Pennsylvania Department of Education. The SPAC organizes an annual family engagement conference for all PA parents/guardians. It’s an excellent opportunity to network, attend a lot of great workshops, and have fun with your kids in the evenings. The conference takes place at a mountain resort in Champion, PA and offers free child care! The trip is free for District parents! Meals are included! We provide buses to and from! Hotel stay is free too! What more could you ask for?!
The trip is from July 18 to 20th, and the applications are due on Friday, May 15th!
There is one small commitment:
If you go, you need to share what you learn with the other parents at one of the parent workshops or events at your school. But even here you are not on your own, and we’ll be happy to help with your presentation.
If you would like to go, we need to have your application by May 15. With questions please contact Julia Manokhina (215-400-6610, jmanokhina@philasd.org) or Sheila Armstrong (215-400-6011, sarmstrong@philasd.org) to obtain the application.
