State of the Evidence Report on national service
Posted by Corporation for National and Community Service on March 5, 2018
Building confidence. Improving lives. Strengthening communities. These are all intangible benefits that society often attributes to volunteering. At the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), we engage millions of Americans in service through AmeriCorps, Senior Corps, and the Volunteer Generation Fund. Our Office of Research & Evaluation (ORE) channels that passion for volunteering with a commitment to evidence gathering.
By combining those two fields, we have developed the State of the Evidence Report, which shares meaningful insights that not only reinforce those intangible benefits of volunteering, but reveal practical benefits as well.
But we are not satisfied keeping that to ourselves; we want to share the benefits of evaluation (and volunteering!) with our peers and other organizations. We invite you to check out our State of the Evidence Report and explore the impact of CNCS programs at an individual, societal, and organizational level. Our accompanying video, infographic, and blog also present data and insights from a year of CNCS program evaluation. We hope you enjoy!
