State Afterschool Profiles: New Search Tool Available
The Afterschool Investments Project is pleased to announce that there are now two different ways to view the Afterschool Investments State Profile Series, available at http://nccic.org/afterschool/statep.html.
View Your State’s Profile
State afterschool profiles are available online for every state, as well as the District of Columbia. Click on your state and read descriptions of key state and local out-of-school time initiatives, as well as quick facts regarding your state’s use of federal funding streams for afterschool. Profiles highlight key developments in the afterschool landscape, which includes the range of out-of-school time programming that can occur before and after school, on weekends, and during summer months.
Search National Database of State Initiatives:
Learn about state-level afterschool initiatives throughout the country by using the new profiles search tool. This tool allows you to view initiatives from multiple states that meet the criteria that you select. For example, you may view all state initiatives that rely upon public-private collaboration, that focus on promoting academic enrichment or that offer training and technical assistance to program providers.
Afterschool Investments, a Child Care Bureau-supported project managed by The Finance Project and the National Governor’s Association Center for Best Practices, provides technical assistance to Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) grantees and other state and local leaders to support afterschool efforts.
