Sisters of Saint Joseph Welcome Center
http://www.ssjwelcomecenter.org/
Located on Allegheny Avenue in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, The Welcome Center has been established to respond to the needs of newcomers in our neighborhood, community and country. Beginning life in a new country carries with it special challenges. Directed by the Sisters of Saint Joseph, the Welcome Center reaches out to those in need especially to newcomers who have not yet learned the language or culture of our city. We offer opportunities that enable immigrants and others to improve the quality of their lives through access to education, support services and programs leading to self-sufficiency.
In this interactive workshop, Sister Eileen will share the story of The Welcome Center, and will offer participants valuable information about the process of starting a nonprofit organization.
Cost: Free, but advance registration required
Registration Deadline: Friday, April 23
