WHERE: Middle Tennessee State U. (near Nashville)
WHEN: AUG. 9-12
TELL ME MORE:
At STARC we work against corporate influence…& that means building power for community based struggles! This summer we’re not only getting hands-on training in grassroots organizing and anti-racism, we’re strategizing around campaigns that students can run to directly benefit low-income folks domestically. Economic inequality in the US is our focus and priority! full conf. agenda: http://www.starcalliance.org
WHAT IS STARC ALL ABOUT?
We’re a democratic youth and student led national network, we’re building the ffectiveness of a multiracial resistance movement in the US. Our recent campaigns involved pressuring Universities to stop acting like corporations, and kicking corporate influence out of government. New campaigns unveiled at conference! more info: http://www.starcalliance.org
