Spring Clean Event: Neighborhood Bike Works
The Neighborhood bike works teaches bike repair, bike safety, & bike fun to kids in West Philly. Our basic earn-a-bike program is just that, youth fix up donated bikes & upon completion of the course earn a recycled bike that they have fixed up themselves.
As part of Lower Merion township’s spring clean up event we will be intercepting bikes on their way to the dump May 4th & 5th. Volunteers are welcome to help out. We’re especially looking for people that could help out with trucks or trailers but can also use help with the simple tasks of registering donated bikes & stripping parts off of dead frames. Let us know if you can help.
Thanks
