The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society has been a visionary not-for-profit organization in the Greater Philadelphia Region since its founding in 1827. PHS organizes the annual Philadelphia International Flower, the world’s largest and longest-running indoor flower show, which brings 250,000 visitors and creates a $61 million economic impact to the city. PHS’s Philadelphia Green helps transform lives through revolutionary programs like City Harvest, which has grown and donated 77,000 lbs of fresh produce in three years—helping to feed 1,000 families each week of the growing season. PHS will also help lead the new TreeVitalize One Million, an ambitious program to plant one million trees in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Corporate Relations Manager is responsible for the oversight, management and successful completion of Sponsorship Sales for the organization, including the Philadelphia International Flower Show. Critical success factors include achieving sponsorship sales objectives established by senior leadership; the development and successful maintenance of key relationships among the PHS staff; the resulting overall satisfaction of PHS management though the achievement of revenue goals; the effective delivery of sponsor expectations, and the renewal of subsequent sponsor agreements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Serves as primary sales liaison for sponsorship of PHS, including but not limited to preparing presentations; managing, fulfilling and renewing contracts; preparing letters of agreements; and conducting assessments and evaluations with clients
Creates, cultivates, and manages a sponsorship solicitation pipeline inclusive of multiple industry sectors with regional and national significance that aligns with PHS’s mission and organizational goals.
Prepares customized and targeted sponsorship proposals, cover letters and necessary support materials
Manages a sponsorship team responsible for tracking objectives and interest in PHS opportunities.
Acts as a liaison with multiple members of PHS staff and other partners to identify new leads, as well as new opportunities for revenue growth
Conducts all follow-up duties including thank you letters, client and sponsor follow-up and evaluation of sales process and reports
Other duties as required or assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Passion for PHS mission
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated experience in preparing successful sponsorship packages
Strong project management skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills both internally and externally
Strong crisis management and negotiating skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software and Windows 10. Raiser’s Edge preferred, but not required
Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field of study; Minimum five years sponsorship or sales experience or equivalent.
