Special Projects Intern, African Studies Center at the University of Pennsylvania
Salary: $12/hr 10-15 hours per week

Description:
The Special Projects Intern will assist the African Studies Center’s programmatic activities during the academic year.
-Help plan and schedule events, lectures, workshops, and conferences
-Promote these events and recruit participants and audience
-Utilize social media (facebook, website, twitter, etc.) to promote activities
-Attend events (sometimes evenings and weekends) and assist with set up and clean up
-Assist in grant reporting and evaluations
-Assist Assistant Director with school visits, presentations and various outreach activities
Additional Qualifications:
– Must have considerable knowledge of and interest in Africa
– Quality design, web and social media experience
– Outgoing personality
– Willing to work on and off campus
– Preferably a bachelors or masters degree
