Job description
The Special Population Coordinator will oversee porgram development and contract compliance to include oversight of the HIV counseling and testing service component and its staff, provide direct services to clients, and ensure that contractual goals are met. The Special Population Coordinator is to link newly diagnosed HIV positive individuals to primary medical care and partner services. This position will develop strategies that result in goal attainment via the social network model targeting special population, such as, but not limited to the MSM population. The Special Population Coordinator must be able to identify, coordinate, and implement HIV testing sites that target the contract populations to identify newly diagnosed HIV positives which includes working during non-traditional business hours including weekends.
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s in Public Health or related field.
Minimum Qualifications: Must have experience working with special population (such as MSM, addictions, mental health) along with exp. as a supervisor. Must be certified and possess an active counselor identification number to conduct HIV testing in the state of PA. Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency
