Special Education Teacher needed ASAP!!!
A licensed special education teacher is needed to work with a handful of students at an alternative high school in center city. The school has 150 students who are aged 17-21. They have previously dropped out of high school and are returning to get their diploma.
We have a need to provide services for about 5-6 students. Because the special ed population is so small, we are asking this person to assist the school in two other capacities. One is to assist the case managers in calling truant students to find out why they are not attending. For this population in particular, we want to encourage their attendance so they don’t repeat their behaviors that got them to us in the first place. The other duty is to serve as the in-house substitute teacher. We feel that we can get a better response from the students when someone they know is present and giving their work to them.
Please send a resume only if you are certified to teach Special Education. The email address to send resumes to is cadistaff@yahoo.com. We are very interested in filling this position quickly since the school year has already started, but we will wait to find the right fit for the school.
