The Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia will continue its series of workshops and seminars on special education law with Pro Se Parents: Doing it On Your Own on Wednesday, May 29th, 9am – 4pm. At this workshop, participants will learn how to request and navigate a hearing on behalf of your student with special needs on your own if you do not have access to an attorney.
The following day’s seminar is entitled Settlements: Signing on the Dotted Line (or Not) and will take place on Thursday, May 30th, 12pm – 4pm. At this workshop, participants will learn how to craft a settlement agreement for an IEP meeting, mediation or resolution session.
Both workshops will take place at United Way, 1709 Benjamin Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, and will also be broadcast as webinars.
