Special Education focused bilingual training for parents and educators

HUNE offers bilingual special education training
Philadelphia HUNE is offering free bilingual (English and Spanish) special education training sessions for parents and caregivers. Participants will learn about their child’s special education rights according to new federal law and state laws, and how to effectively advocate for their child. Participants will also receive a bilingual manual on special education procedures.
Classes run from 9:30am-noon once a week starting Wednesday, September 9th through Wednesday, October 14th. Graduation is October 16th. Attendance at a minimum of five sessions is required to graduate. Snacks and refreshments will be served and tokens for transportation provided.
