This is a new position reporting to a newly appointed President and CEO.

In this position you will be responsible for the following:

– Manage the office of the President and CEO by prioritizing all correspondence, telephone calls, and VIP visitors to assure that the issues of highest importance are handled effectively, efficiently and confidentially. – Prepare correspondence and reports on behalf of the President and CEO, using a similar style and tone. This position ensures the smooth execution of all duties of the office of the President and CEO.
– Lead and manage a project by conducting the necessary research, analyzing the information and delivering excellent results as assigned by the President and CEO. Projects may require the Special Assistant to the President’s Office to develop PowerPoint presentations, statistical reports, and/or flow charts.
– Ensure that the President and CEO has everything necessary to be effective in meetings; arrive on time and prepared for appointments; and be able to adjust the President and CEO’s schedule in reaction to urgent and unforeseen circumstances.
– Work with all levels of staff within PWDC; make decisions about the distribution of projects and or tasks emanating from the office of the President and CEO.
– Serve as a liaison between the President and CEO and staff project leaders.
– Represent the President and CEO at meetings; prepare reports summarizing the essence of the meeting; and act on behalf of the President and CEO as appropriate.
– Coordinate all travel arrangements including preparing an itinerary, ticketing, and logistical arrangements and assure that the President and CEO has all required documents, briefing materials and background information needed for all meetings.
– Interact with the Board of Directors which includes scheduling meetings, preparing the necessary documents, contacting the board members for information as appropriate on behalf of the President and CEO.

– Identify and implement improvements to the current systems and procedures that impact upon the office of the President and CEO in an effort to make information and projects flow efficiently throughout the corporation.
– Serve as a liaison between PWDC and elected/appointed public officials in order to build positive relationships that can assist PWDC in its overall mission.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 5+ years of administrative experience in sales, marketing or professional services environment. This position requires outstanding communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, initiative, self-motivation, sound judgment, and discretion. Ability to provide professional, customer service-focused service and the ability to work autonomously with little or no supervision is required. Proficient in the use of MS Office package: MSWord, Excel, Power Point and Outlook are required.
