Wave Week registration extended until July 10th.
Spark the Wave sponsors leadership trainings
Spark the Wave trains and empowers youth from 5th grade through college for leadership and community service.
In partnership with community groups, nonprofits, churches or schools, the group offers after-school and weekend leadership seminars for teens to develop skills in effective communication, group dynamics, leadership, service learning, project planning and the awareness of diversity issues.
For students who want advanced training, the group offers Wave Week, a 6-day residential and day summer camp program for a nominal fee, which covers room, board and educational materials, held on a college campus near Philadelphia. To maintain the momentum generated at its seminars and Wave Week, students can access a long-term mentoring program. Through this mentoring, Spark the Wave helps increase each student’s likelihood for success in the world of service.
Spark the Wave also offers training for an organization’s staff to assist them in working with youth and one another.
