The SOL Afterschool Academic Instructor will be responsible for core subject tutoring, PSSA skills, youth projects and/or ESOL support during our after school program. The Afterschool Academic instructor will implement self written centers and assessments to groups of 15-25 students. They will utilize differentiated instruction and project-based learning where appropriate. The instructor must cater teaching style to multiple intelligences and learning styles. Developing lesson and work plans, learning objectives and evaluation tools for projects will be among the duties. The Afterschool Academic Instructor will serve as a teacher, mentor, tutor and role model for the students. Must be working on post-secondary degree in Education or any related field and at least two years of experience working with youth is required. Bachelor’s degree and teaching certification preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
