Social Justice Youth Workshop – Aug 2-6
Posted by Penn State Abington on June 29, 2021
This camp will focus on using critical thinking skills to examine the social issues youth confront and explore how youth can creatively respond through organizing, political education, and identity development. We intend to build healthier communities and supportive environments for youth through engaging speakers and interactive activities. Students will build confidence in learning the power of their voice and have fun while doing it.
There will be a parent orientation the Sunday before on August 1 for an hour to introduce the program to the parents. There are also opportunities for scholarships as the cost of the camp is $100 for the week.
Grade Level: Entering Grade 9 – 12
Delivered via Zoom and Google Drive
