This is an email to notify you of two educator resources that are available free online through the Centre for Social Justice in Canada.
The first is “An Educator’s Guide for changing the world: Methods, models and materials for anti-oppression and social justice workshops.” It is a 75-page publication that includes both theory/methods about how to approach this practice as well as a variety of activities that can be adapted for many purposes.
The second is a just-released booklet called “Expanding the Circle: People working to end racism” that is aimed at a mostly white audience.
I do hope that you find these resources helpful for your own practice or as resources for students and other learners with whom you might work. Please let people know about these resources. If you want a hard copy, they can be ordered online or by calling the CSJ at 1-888-803-8881. The website for the organization is http://www.socialjustice.org.
In solidarity,
Ann Curry-Stevens, Centre for Social Justice
