Posted by on January 08, 2012
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) created a tool for partners to identify the characteristics of SNAP in local communities, nationwide. At the SNAP Community Characteristics webpage, fact sheets are provided for each Congressional District; along with demographic data like age groups, poverty level, race/ethnicity, median income and work status. Statewide SNAP statistics are also available.
