SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator, Vetri Community Partnership
Posted by Vetri Community Partnership on May 7, 2024
Vetri Community Partnership is seeking an engaging nutrition educator who will teach hands-on cooking activities, support wellness initiatives, and represent the organization at assigned school and public events.
SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educators primarily teach students and caregivers in K-8 public and charter schools and adults at food retail sites throughout Philadelphia. They implement programming in alignment with approved Pennsylvania Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (PA SNAP-Ed) activities. In addition to teaching, nutrition educators collaborate with liaisons at assigned sites to encourage sustainable, positive health behaviors through Policy, Systems, and Environmental Change (PSE) approaches. SNAP-Ed educators work across other services as assigned or when scheduling permits.
