SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educator, Vetri Community Partnership

Posted by Vetri Community Partnership on October 24, 2023

Vetri Community Partnership partners with schools and community sites in Philadelphia and Camden that share our passion for nutrition and education. We work with people from under-resourced communities to help build the life skills for a healthier future.

Vetri Community Partnership is seeking an engaging nutrition educator who will teach hands-on cooking activities, support wellness initiatives, and represent the organization at assigned school and public events.

SNAP-Ed Nutrition Educators primarily teach students and caregivers in K-8 public and charter schools and adults at food retail sites throughout Philadelphia. They implement programming in alignment with approved Pennsylvania Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (PA SNAP-Ed) activities. In addition to teaching, nutrition educators collaborate with liaisons at assigned sites to encourage sustainable, positive health behaviors through Policy, Systems, and Environmental Change (PSE) approaches. SNAP-Ed educators work across other services as assigned or when scheduling permits.
