Smoking Cessation Focus Groups
Posted by on February 19, 2007
Drexel University has begun a new initiative for male smokers 18-24 years of age, who are not full time college students. This population is currently not being reached by any of the traditional cessation methods, and in general 18-24 year old men in the workplace are smoking at higher levels than their counterparts on college campuses.
The purpose of this initiative is to gather information regarding the best methods for reaching this population and helping them to stop smoking. Ongoing focus groups and pilot interventions will be conducted throughout 2007 and consequently we will be recruiting men that fit our criteria year-round. The first two focus groups will be held on February 26 and March 13, 2007.
If you are in contact with male smokers 18-24 year of age, who are not full-time college students, please contact Adonis Banegas at 215-762-8520 or at [email protected].
