Iron Sharpens Iron 2017: Effective Capacity & Skill Building for Community Organizers and Neighborhood Leaders

Join engaged neighborhood residents, community organizers and community developers to learn about best practice in volunteer and resident engaged revitalization and stabilization efforts at the grassroots level. Workshops and peer learning circles on finding, nurturing and maintaining financial and human capital to conduct your work and build networks for effective and sustainable results.
Goal:
This series is for community organizers and leaders who want to enhance their capacity and skills to more effectively work with community stakeholders, including managing conflict and/or strong emotions at community meetings.
Outcomes:
Participants will obtain tools and resources that enhance their capacity to more effectively communicate with and mobilize neighborhood stakeholders for successful social change. Join us for an engaging and intensive workshop training developed and facilitated by experienced Philadelphia community organizers.
Breakfast begins at 8:30 and the training will begin at 9:00 a.m.
