Site Visit Opportunity to Hampton, Va.?s Award-Winning Youth Civic Engagement Model ? April 22-24
The City of Hampton, Va., invites local officials and other community leaders to participate in a site visit to learn about its Youth Civic Engagement model, which received the 2005 Innovation in American Government Award. Participants will learn how this successful model of youth engagement in local government settings can be applied in their own communities. Teams of three people from up to ten communities will be eligible to have expenses covered for registration, lodging, meals, ground transportation, and learning materials. Travel costs to and from Hampton are the responsibility of participating communities. To sign up, send an e-mail no later than March 16 to [email protected] expressing your interest in the event.
