With over sixteen years’ experience providing high-quality educational and youth development programs, Sunrise has a proven track record and strong working relationships within the South Philadelphia neighborhood (19148 zip code) where we provide academic enrichment, career and college programming, and workforce development to over 400 youth annually. Sunrise is currently seeking a full time Site Director. This is a full-time, exempt position with competitive benefits. Salary negotiable.
Job Summary:
The Site Director is responsible for overseeing and ensuring high quality afterschool programming operations in accordance with all grant requirements and the program guidelines as defined by the Sun Team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and writing of Project Based Learning (PBL) and follow through with implementation
- Ensure the safety and security of all students and staff
- Ensure the proper completion of attendance records daily
- Ensure that all students are participating in all activities
- Complete all paperwork related to PBL and grants as needed in a timely manner
- Maintain a current inventory of all supplies and work with administration to order and replace needed materials
- Address all staffing issues and report to Sun Team as necessary
- Serve as Sunrise site liaison with Key School and other organizations
- Run monthly staff meetings on site
- Maintain and ensure accuracy of staff payroll
- Attend Sun Team and other organizational meetings as needed
- Provide friendly, professional service to all visitors, volunteers, clients, students, parents and monitors. Greet and monitor participants during program.
- Ensure proper student behavior during program hours
- Ensure safe transportation for participants
- Manage staff for event planning, outreach efforts, and other services
- Other duties as assigned and needed
