About LIFT

LIFT’s mission is to help community members achieve economic stability and well-being. We are working to establish a new standard for holistic and enduring solutions in our country’s fight against poverty. Today, LIFT deploys trained volunteers in community centers in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC, to serve low-income individuals and families. LIFT’s clients and volunteers work one-on-one to find jobs, secure safe and stable housing, make ends meet through public benefits and tax credits, and obtain quality referrals for services like childcare and healthcare that help clients move themselves forward. At LIFT, we believe that the very act of two people working together – sharing their strengths in a trusting relationship – is the most important first step in creating transformation and achieving success. The LIFT experience also pushes volunteers to grapple with our country’s most challenging issues related to poverty, race, inequality, and public policy. Since LIFT’s founding, nearly 10,000 volunteers have served more than 60,000 individuals and families.

About the Position

LIFT-Philadelphia is seeking a committed, driven and talented individual who embodies the LIFT mission to join our team by serving in the role of Site Coordinator in the area of Client Service & Experience. Site Coordinators are responsible for coordinating on-site delivery of client service as well as recruiting, training and supervising volunteers that provide client service. Site Coordinators also provide direct client service and help clients to find jobs, secure housing, enroll in public benefits, and help community members obtain referrals for services like childcare and healthcare. This full-time position will be based at our West Philadelphia location. This is a wonderful opportunity to join a growing and thriving organization.

The Client Experience Site Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the on-site delivery of client service, the backbone of our program, by creating and maintaining a warm and welcoming office space that is supportive of our client’s and volunteer’s successes. Our office is high-paced and full of activity and requires an energized person to choreograph and manage the flow of the office. The Client ExperienceSite Coordinator will be an integral part of a team vision of delivering excellent client service to our community members.

The position is a two year commitment. The two years of service will begin July, 2013 and end on July, 2015. Preference will be given for candidates who commit to the full two years of service; however, we will consider outstanding candidates who can only commit to one year of service. Site Coordinators report to the Program Manager of LIFT-Philadelphia.
