Share your knowledge, successes, and war stories with your peers.
The Nonprofit Technology Regional Conference, “What you Need to Succeed: Using Information to Empower your Organization,” is coming to Philadelphia on September 14th. We are looking for individuals willing to participate in and/or lead sessions for the conference. Speaking in a session can be a great way to highlight the work of your nonprofit and to build connections with your peers.
The sessions that we need your help with are listed below. If you have something to contribute to one of the sessions, please contact Joe Baker at [email protected], 202-558-2446.
SESSION I
Title: Getting to Know You: Methods for learning more about your stakeholders
Audience: Fundraising/Communications/Program staff
Description: Knowledge Management isn?t just about capturing what you already know ? it?s also about learning new things, and putting that information to good use. In this session, we?ll talk about some of the easiest ways to learn more about your stakeholders and use that information to build stronger relationships. From online surveys to data matching, we?ll help you understand how to communicate in new ways, and with better information. We?ll also help you understand how to capture and record the intangibles of your personal exchanges with your stakeholders.
What we need: We need a session designer who understands recent technological developments in the world of Fundraising. Are you using technology to find new constituents or funding sources? If so, we need your help.
SESSION II
Title: Moving to Excellence: Case studies
Audience: Fundraising/Communications/Program staff
Description: You?ve got the basics down. You?ve put systems in place to capture and share knowledge. How do you move to the next level and create a knowledge-centered organization? Hear success stories and best practices from a panel of nonprofit staff who have helped their organizations make effective use of their knowledge.
What we need: We need organization leaders who have implemented a collaboration system, a comprehensive website, or a knowledge sharing system to increase the efficiency of their organization. This session will be a panel discussion.
SESSION III
Title: Knowledge Management Tools
Audience: Nonprofit Tech Staff
Description: What are knowledge management tools? As a general rule, they are extensive collaboration tools with rules for the transfer of knowledge and information. These products usually work across multiple platforms, servers, intranets, groups, etc. They are powerful tools that can work together with learning technologies to tie an organization together, create a better work environment, and realize greater efficiencies across the board. In this session, we?ll identify some of the basic categories of Knowledge Management tools, and look at how they can be implemented with your organization.
What we need: We need panelists who are experienced in using key types of knowledge management tools, such as collaboration tools, business intelligence, customer relations management, data integration, and knowledge capture, and who have a broad view of the available tools.
