Service-Learning in the Health Sciences Symposium

Service-Learning in the Health Sciences Symposium-Register Now!

Through funding from the PACC/NYCC Consortium Learn & Serve grant, a one-day symposium on service-learning in the Health Sciences will take place in Erie, PA on April 25, 2009. The symposium is an interdisciplinary service-learning symposium and is for faculty in the health sciences and will feature workshops in service-learning and course revision. Speaker highlights include Chuck Connor from the board of directors of Community-Campus Partnerships for Health (CCPH) and the West Virginia Rural Health Education Partnership as the keynote, and Char Gray, Executive Director of Pennsylvania Campus Compact. Participants will receive a $25 stipend, and a copy of CCPH’s Faculty Toolkit for Service-Learning in Higher Education.  Registration is limited to 40 participants on a first come-first served basis with an April 8th final deadline.  The symposium will be offered to faculty in PA, NY, OH and WV.  An electronic registration form is available at (see February 19, 2009).
