Service-Learning Educator Institute (Virtual) – Aug 2
Posted by National Youth Leadership Council on July 19, 2022
The Educator Institute is professional development designed for K-12 teachers from all content areas. The Institute provides opportunities for teachers to improve their service-learning practice and learn about its impact on students, schools, and communities.
At the Institute, participants learn how to integrate service into their content areas in ways that align with subject area standards and lead to high-quality service-learning experiences for their students. It gives participants a professional development experience rooted in a constructivist approach to teaching and learning.
Throughout the Institute, participants will deepen their understanding of service-learning while integrating important elements of teaching and learning such as instructional standards, differentiated learning experiences, social-emotional learning, and student agency.
