Place as the Context, Service-learning as the Strategy, Sustainable Communities as the Goal
Curriculum and Program Exemplars Now Available online
We’d like to call your attention to a wonderful collection of easy to view curriculum and program exemplars (K-16) currently available online at: http://www.communityworksinstitute.org/.
For many years Community Works Institute (CWI) has collected exemplars, reflections and research from the field. A sampling are available on CWI’s website with more to be added in the coming months. These exemplars have been generously contributed by educators and students.
CWI’s online library contains a growing collection of curriculum and shared experiences directly from classrooms and communities, written in most cases by educators or students. They are organized by grade level. Additional exemplars can be found in our online magazine at: http://www.communityworksjournal.org
CALL for EXEMPLARS: CWI is always interested in helping educators share their work. Your own work can be invaluable to other educators. We would love to include your curriculum narrative or reflection on our website. If you are interested in sharing your own teaching around place, service-learning, and sustainability, please contact us by email at: info@communityworksinstitute.org, or by telephone at: 909-480-3966.
