Service-Learning and Criminal Justice meeting
Posted by on November 17, 2008
Two years ago, Cabrini College received a grant from Campus Compact to form a disciplinary network of criminal justice faculty and service-learning staff to explore issues of incarceration and prisoner reentry. The Forging Partnerships of Justice project will meet on Monday, November 24th, from about 9 am-2 pm, and we’re happy to invite any interested faculty or service learning staff to participate.
Here is a tentative agenda:
Morning: Meet at Cabrini College to discuss the project, issues involved in service-learning, and a sub-grant application for folks who want to integrate service-learning related to prisoner reentry into their
classes.
Afternoon: Meet at the Montgomery County Correctional Facility to talk with community partners and inmates about how colleges can support the prisoner re-entry process.
Please RSVP to David Chiles ([email protected]) if you can make it to the meeting or if you have any questions.
