CALL FOR PROPOSAL
Service Learning and Civic Engagement SAFE Institute on Homeland Security-Emergency Preparedness-Domestic Preparedness
October 22-23, 2005
For the past two years the CCNCCE has supported the National SAFE Training Team comprised of three highly recognized community colleges in the field of emergency preparedness, homeland security, and issues forums who provide training to community colleges who are interested in integrating these components with service learning and civic engagement. The team has presented numerous trainings across the United States.
* The CCNCCE is requesting proposals from community colleges across the United States and the US Territories. Six colleges will be selected.
* If selected, this is an opportunity for a team from your college to receive in-depth training from the National SAFE Trainers through participation in a 2-day workshop called The SAFE INSTITUTE.
* In addition, one of the National SAFE Trainers will be the mentor for your team as you develop a SAFE service learning project on your campus over the 2006 spring semester and the 2006 summer session.
