SEPTA Releases First Sustainability Program Annual Report
In January, SEPTA released its first sustainability annual report, Sep-tainable: Going Beyond Green. The original 2011 plan set 12 goals for a sustainable triple bottom line at SEPTA, addressing environmental, social, and economic challenges and opportunities.
The report outlines progress on each goal and includes great information on grants SEPTA received for ultra-low emitting engines, battery storage technologies, succession planning initiatives, and historic renovation projects. It also details SEPTA’s partnerships with community-based organizations to improve intermodal connections and support farmers markets.
You can find the full report here. Congrats on a great first year of implementation SEPTA!
