September Programs at Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse
On Saturday September 10, 2005 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse will host special activities celebrating Grandparents Day. Young visitors are encouraged to bring their grandparents for a day of bonding, fun, and play.
Guests at Smith on Grandparents Day can take part in checkers, bubbles, and coloring activities celebrating grandparents everywhere. In addition, the newly renovated Playground, including the Ann Newman Giant Wooden Slide, will be open to the public. There will be a special giveaway for Grandparents who come with their grandchildren. This event is free of charge.
On Wednesday, September 14 at 10:30 a.m. Smith will also host its monthly Storytelling Program for children ages 3-5. Through September, Smith is recruiting students age 6-10 participants for its After School Play Camp. The Play Camp will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., starting Tuesday October 4th. Both programs are free of charge but require advance registration. Call 215-765-4325 for more information.
